I have heard that you can purchase medical dictation tapes to practice with.  Is this so, and if so, where do you get them?

just curious
where did you take your courses/ or were they online courses? Thanks
I'm curious.

I was just wondering.  When can a newbie say they aren't a newbie any longer?

How is it judged or measured?

I have been working from home as an IC doing acute care work for eight months.  I still consider myself a newbie, but at what point does that moniker get dropped?

Just Curious
I have posted my resume on several sites, career builder, MT stars, and mt daily, just to name a few.  My question is, has anyone ever actually gotten hired from this?  I'm just so frustrated.  I've put in applications everywhere, including home turf.  I really need to go to work.  My husband is dying, and I have to small children to take care of.  The job I'm at right now is working for my aunt, and is more or less an internship.  Any help any of you can give is greatly appreciated.  Thanks so much.
Curious...

Thank you for the encouragement.
If you don't mind me asking, do you think your earnings are related to your location? I have been talking with my husband about the low pay for newbies, and he seems to think that where you live could determine your income. We live in western WA where the cost of living is outrageous, but the economy is strong. I’m just wondering what your thoughts on this are.

Just curious...

If you learned on the job, how do you know if any school teaches enough?

I am a Respiratory Therapist, but always on the lookout for side income.  My sister saw an ad for AHP seminar and asked if I'd go with her as she is desperate to work from home.  I've worked with dictation machines in previous jobs and have a pretty good grasp on the lingo in the medical field *grins* so I figured it would be worth a shot.

I would like feedback from people who have actually used AHP as those who have not won't give relevant information.  Did I misunderstand you when you said you hadn't taken courses from any of the schools in question?

just curious........how can you, a newbie, say that is a rip.
I have accounts where I make 10 cents a line. If I have to proofread everything you type to be sure the product does not go out the door with errors, what should I charge. I can make 4 cents per line doing QA for another business. Why should my own business with my good name attached make less for QA'ing a newbies work. You got a lot to learn, but you will and when you are experienced you will wonder how newbies can be so demanding when, even though they have taken a course, they have a lot to learn.
lol just curious -- why do this? it was answered
