You got lucky. It's downright RARE for anyone from Penn Foster to get a job.

I SEE said the blind man!
Thank all of you so much for giving me a better insight. I realize that everyone has been saying to go to the right school but I guess I just didn't get it. I guess I thought I/we would be able to get into a mentoring program. Maybe I/we still can with some companies. Shame on the schools that mislead us and give us just a "simple and basic" training and for leading us to believe it would be so simple to get a job and that I/we would be employable. Thank you so much for putting it in black and white and being on your soap stands! (I like soap stands!)And just from reading all of the posts, I can see the difference in experience. I finally get it. I SEE!
(I will continue to study and learn and maybe someday...)

Also, shame on the companies that don't realize what they have. They should respect the experienced people that they have and make all of you happy and keep you! I am always in awe of the answers in the "word help"! None that I can answer! Have a great day!

It was quite awhile ago...maybe about a year or so.

Been Reading awhile
I just wanted to say, that I have been lurking here quite a bit. My husband and I are both wanting to get into medical transcription. We plan on starting with Career Step next month. I don't have any questions as of yet, but I just wanted to say hi, and thank you all for giving the good, bad, and the ugly of it all.
I don't expect to make $80,000 a year, I don't need to.. I would just be happy if we(my husband and I) can make $30,000 a year between us once we have finished school and gained experience.
Again thanks
