I'm a student MT. I'm enrolled in a MT program through a local community college. I have maintained a solid 4.0 throughout the duration of the course and will graduate in May.
I hope to work as a MT after graduation, but that will depend on what I earn. If I start out at a low wage, and it doesn't improve soon after, I'm sad to say it might not work out. Unfortunately, I had no idea when I started school that MTs start out at $5/hour. Maybe it is a good thing I didn’t know, otherwise I probably wouldn’t have enrolled in the course I have enjoyed so much.
