Huh

The only schooling I had was a two-year medical secretarial program at a junior college. This was so long ago they were still teaching ShortHand and typing on typewriters, though they had a few word processors at the school. After finishing, I worked in medical secretarial jobs and other sec jobs, until one day I happened upon an ad for an MT - no experience required. I applied. They called me in. They sat me down in front of a typewriter and showed me how to work the pedals. I typed sample notes for three dictators. I said, huh, that was easy. I GOT THE JOB! So it blows me away that your school didn't get you ready to sit down and type.
