I had MS....

diagnosed in 1983.  I have had a couple hospitalizations for optic neuritis back when they used to give steroids for such, but overall I would have to say it has not interfered with my work as a Transcriptionist anymore than any other illness would.  I believe it depends on what your MS symptoms are currently.  The one thing I found is that you will hear a lot about things you shouldn't do....however, it has been my experience to listen to your own body.  If you feel you can do something, do it.  It will not make your symptoms worse.  Stress has been said to cause MS to go out of remission, but I have found that sitting around thinking about the fact that I have MS hurt me more than anything else.

Good luck
