Right. That's what it comes down to. The problem is finding a school that can teach you how to do that.

Look to one that has a proven track record.

And don't limit your future by the expectation that you will only transcribe in doctors' offices. While this is one option, it's not a viable option in some areas.

It's a lot better to choose a school that has a proven track record with national services. You may not want to work for a national service, or for any service at all, but if you qualify to work for one, then you qualify for any job in transcription, no matter if it is a hospital, a clinic, or an office.

If you aim for "office" work, you'll be unemployable by hospitals and probably even large clinics. It's a lot easier to simply get better training up front so that you have more options upon graduation.
