I want to get into MT and I'm getting ready to sign up and take a comprehensive course...but first, am I required to be certified or licensed?

Why did they require you to get a license? How would they even know you are self-employed, as long as you pay in your own taxes. Does anyone know anything about why the state and city would require a license and how you find out if they do?
License
I called my accountant. She said that I needed a master license. When I applied for it, it gave me an option to find out if my city required anything. I called the phone number for license and permits and told them what I was doing, and they said I am required to get a city license.

No, no license required.
Certification is optional.

Most will tell you to attend Andrews or MTech, as you will have a much better education and job opportunities if you attend one of these 2 schools.

Best of luck to you!
