In Reply to: Are these the basic problems with MQ? - Cin

I have 15+ years MT experience. I am currently employed by MQ.  I have a great supervisor who always answers my questions.  You will not hear too many positives about MQ because those who post on these forums USUALLY are here because they are unhappy and looking elsewhere.  Some of us browse to see what is new with the company.

Recently MQ made a change with the pooling.  When your primary and secondary accounts run out of work, your pooling opens up.  Not only yours but the tens of thousands of MT's that work for MQ.  That means that your primary is usually out of work.  So....For the last week or so I have been suffering from lack of work in my primary.  I have to read account specifics each time I type a job and that takes time.  I bounce from hospital to hospital and that takes time, thus cutting my hourly line count almost in half.

Do I still think MQ is a good place to work?  Yes.  I think this is a bump in the road, and they will get back on track with what is right.  If you are lucky enough to work for a good production supervisor, you will be fine.  I do believe, however, that there are valid complaints from other MT's who are not as fortunate as I am.  It's just not ALL bad.

Hope this helps.
