About Fox "News"

Yesterday the Senate Republican Communications Center sent Fox News a press release talking about how the economic stimulus bill grew over time. Fox then claimed they would do a news story, saying "We thought we'd take a look back at the bill, how it was born, and how it grew, and grew, and grew."

Well, Fox News aired the GOP press release WORD FOR WORD, including a typo that no one bothered to verify, and called it a news report. Later, Jon Scott of Fox News apologized to viewers for the typo (the GOP press release cited a WSJ article and said it was written in 2009 when it was actually written in 2008) but not for calling the GOP press release a news report.

So, Fox "News" ran a Republican press release word for word and called it a news report and were busted for it, and then they apologized for including a typo.

Fair and balanced indeed...
