kind words and your prayers.  I, too, enjoy your "discourse."  LOL.

I did a lot of research when I first realized that my pancreatitis chronic, rather than acute.  I saw all the risk factors listed, including alcoholism (didn't apply to me), gallbladder disease (didn't apply to me -- mine was gone), cystic fibrosis (couldn't POSSIBLY apply to me -- I'm an adult) and high triglycerides (mine WERE elevated -- I found out much later, though, that they would have had to be TEN times higher to have truly been the cause).

I glossed over the cystic fibrosis as quickly and easily as I glossed over the other risk factors, simply because I believed it to be a childhood disease.

It's not just the pancreas, though the pancreas is the most common.  Any GI disturbance that's labeled "idiopathic" and becomes chronic could be a red flag.

Am having kind of a rough day here, I think, and may not be posting much, but I just wanted to thank you again for your very kind words and your prayers.  They mean very much to me.

I hope you have a great weekend!
