Another indictment

Delay is indicted today on money laundering charges. The neocons Bill Krystal, Pat Buchanan, someone from the weekly standard are depressed, disappointed and worried about the new court appointment. Maybe this means that this woman is a reasonable human being, not too far right, not too far left...from my keyboard to God's ear.

In the indictment
on page 3, 4th line from the bottom, FBI agent David Cain refers to his "review of consensually-recorded conversations" and goes on to describe ingoing and outgoing phone call devices which (according to news reports on CNN earlier today) were placed in the governor's campaign office and on his campaign phones, but not in the governor's office.

I am confused about whose consent they refer to there. Would the gov himself ever consent to the bugs or are they speaking of separate entities who agreed to be bugged on their person? I am asking because Blagojevich himself was complaining about open wire taps versus secret wire taps when he claimed everything he said was legal.

I am thinking these are separate individuals who agreed to be bugged for purposes of entrapment. Maybe I am trying to read too much into this, but if you hear anything, could you please post?
Libby under indictment,

Rove in the grand jury for the fifth time. Claude Allen arrested.  The Wilkes-Cunningham prostitution scandal, Abramoff, DeLay, Enron...I am so glad integrity has been restored to the White House.

Yeah one indictment and you think you've brought the Republicans down

Stupid should hurt.  As much as ya'll scream and whine it must.

Everytime you end up with egg on your face.  It's really hilarious to sit back and watch liberals have a victory party before there's even any court hearings or before the political chips can fall.  Oh the chips are going to fall, but I doubt they'll be where you want them to be.

If it makes you feel better - but in the real world, indictment is not a joke.
Not to mention, this is an indictment by a Grand Jury from his home state. The natives are restless, it seems.

Happily, it doesn't matter a bit if DeLay is convicted or not. He's finished, caput, out on his butt, a lame duck if there ever was one. Like Gingrich before him he's had his day in the public eye and sure, with his connections he'll do fine in the private sector - but good riddance to that era.
