Applauding! What a great post, to the point and well written.

I don't think some people realize the seriousness of the illegally invading a sovereign nation for what is truthfully nothing more than regime change, after being dishonest to the entire world about the true reasons for invading this country.

If/when it happens, they still won't get it.  And if/when more Americans are killed by terrorists because this president was too stubborn to care about America first and refused to implement most suggestions of the 9/11 Commission, the ones who survive the next terror attack will still be kneeling down and kissing his boots because they are preprogrammed to believe this man can do nothing wrong.

    Great article! Very well written.

As I've suspected for a long time now, he's deaf and *dumb*!!

    Thanks for posting this.

This is a great article written by Jim Cramer...

he is the money guy on CNBC. We listen to him sometimes, have read a couple of his books, and because of watching his show in Sept or Oct of last year, we pulled our money out of the stock market, which was the BEST idea. It is an interesting artcile to some, maybe not to others.

Applauding your fantastic post Teddy. (NT)

    Well done, Obama.
    A very well written post

Great post, great insight, great analysis, thanks!..nm

Your post was well written but hypocritical.
You admonish us to come together while in the same paragraph stating Republicans are to blame for everything gone wrong in the last 8 years. You speak of cluelessness, simplemindedness, backwardness, etc. etc. etc., insulting the past administration and anyone supportive of it while proclaiming the virtues of a man whose potential and abilities have not yet been proven. Your post is insulting, opinionated and presumptious, yet you are bewildered and dismayed by those not joining you on the Obama-idolizing bandwagon.

How dare you reduce this to an accusation of racial prejudice? How is such an assumption not hateful in itself?

It is precisely this kind of holier-than-thou attitude that creates and perpetuates devisivenss in the world!
What a beautifully written, truthful, common sense post.
Cannot add a thing. Thank you for telling it like it is so profoundly and full of truths!
Great, great post. Thank you, Marmann! nm

    That's a great point.

I think this country is all mixed up because we have those who are to the left of Obama and to the right of him, as well.

Same thing as far as the GOP, and I believe they're even more splintered.

I think the biggest problem right now is the economy.  We seem to be in a situation where we're encountering something we've never seen before, so there's no "tried and true" method of fixing it.

In my retrospective opinion, I think we should have just let the banks fail and was upset when Bush decided to get involved with buying them.

Too much money involved, and definitely too much politics involved.  This renders almost the entire Congress meaningless and irrelevant because very few who walk those halls have a clue what real American life is.

(Sorry if this was written sloppily.  I know what I wanted to write, but I just can't find the words.  Not feeling so great today.  )

You brought up a great point. (sm)

I agree, we MUST purchase these things under law or under terms of a mortgage agreement.

But the premiums we pay are in line with what we're insuring.  For example, we're not forced to pay the same premium for a two-bedroom home that a multimillionaire would pay for a 56-room mansion.  We're not forced to pay the same premium for a 1980 Chevy that a multimillionaire would pay for a Rolls Royce.

That distinction doesn't hold true with medical "insurance," and that's partly where the problem lies.

I answered your post point-by-point and
all you can come up with is a lame tit-for-tat? Can you provide some sort of substantive response that would argue against the point I am trying to make here? Of course not.

Please show me what part of my post reflects bigotry or ignorance? I have made a few statements based on my own life experience, rather than the hook-line-and-sinker method of forming my world view. Then the impotence of your suicide bomber reference was buried under concrete evidence of informed, researched and factual data that would suggest an oppressed, occupied, half-starved population does not have the upper hand when it comes to defending themselves against Israel's US-bankrolled arsenal of pain, misery, death and destruction. They are just a tad out-gunned, wouldn't you say?

Then the impotence of your suicide bomber reference was buried under concrete evidence of informed, researched and factual data that would suggest an oppressed, occupied, half-starved population does not exactly have the upper hand when it comes to defending themselves against Israel's US-bankrolled arsenal of pain, misery, death and destruction they employ in order to "secure" themselves.

The Palestinians are just a tad out-gunned, wouldn't you say? This might just account for the lop-sided fatalities/injuries ratios between the Israelis and the Palestinians. In closing, it is worth noting that even with the advantage of all those terrorist toys and tools our tax dollars have bestowed upon them, security and peace of mind just seem to be further and further beyond their reach. Wonder why that is?
    great post
Im amazed at how much debate I have caused on both boards, LOL!  I have become *the* poster to be talked about, attacked, compared to.  Thank you for your refreshing post replying to IMHO a mean spirited obviously very troubled conservative poster.  This person has been on my case since day one, along with her two cohorts.  Frankly, from what I can see, they are just about the only ones who consistently post on the conservative board.  I guess others after a while get tired of the attack mode or just give up trying to debate logically and intelligently.  They say Im a lunatic and certifiable.  By reading their nasty posts, If anyone is certifiable, they are.  They say they are Christian.  Not like any Christian I have ever know.  The Christians I grew up with were nice, caring, accepting people.  Not judgmental hateful closed minded individuals.  I perused the conservative board this morning, just to see which republican they are admiring this morning or which democrat they are dogging and OMG, Im being posted about all over the board.  A few posted yesterday and right away they started asking were the posters gt!!  I cracked up laughing this morning.  No, I wasnt on their board posting.  I was in Mexico for the weekend and got back this morning..Gee, I generated this much attention and publicity by just posting on one little board in the vast expanse of the World Wide Web.  Amazing!  After reading their troubling posts, with all their attacks (one says she never attacks, yet one of her favorite words from what I have read is troll), I have decided not to read the conservative board any more.  I frankly dont need their negative energy..I feel sorry for all three of them.  They sound like they are angry bitter fools, clinging to a way and thought of life, so afraid frankly of anyone else with different and/or better ideas for this country.  Some people will never change and expand their consciousness as these three have proven to me.  This board I will continue to read and post from time to time, as it is a good open minded and accepting board and if the conservatives post an attack to me pertaining to this post, I will not read it nor respond.
    Great post
Thank you for this post..It was a good one.  :o)
    Great post gt!
Clinton always did know how to speak in clear terms about the basics of a matter - and speak to all people in plain language. Mystifying how Dubya's supporters claim he's the plain-talking one when every time he opens his mouth he's twisting the topic completely out of recognition or else just babbling incoherently.
    LOL! Great post!!

    Great post.
    Couldn't agree with you more.
    Great post, PK; thanks.

    great post!!! thanks :)

    Great post
Excellent points regarding health care, insurance, taxes. This is a conservative viewpoint. Less taxes brings in more revenue, but congress rarely gets it.

I agree that whoever is elected will not accomplish all stated promises/goals. That's always the case. So many believe that the president has power to do whatever he wants, but that is not the case and never has been.
    Great Post...Thank You!
    That makes it crystal clear!

    .
    GREAT post! Thank you!

Great post! You just know that if
the tables were turned they wouldn't want their money taken either. I have found that the people who moan and complain the most about not having any money are the ones who are in debt to the hilt, have never been taught to save a cent, blame the CC companies for making them charge so much and then expect the gov't to help them out in some way. How about this novel scenario: Work hard, save some money, don't try to outdo the neighbors with material things and take some responsibility. Don't expect a mere man who spouts pretty words and promises and only wants your vote to take care of you. Quit blaming the republicans, Bush, outsourcing, Wall Street fat cats, etc, and look in the mirror. The gov't cannot solve all your problems, be self-sufficient for once.
    Great post!

    My favorite part is:

IF I am wrong one day when I meet my Creator I will find out and I'll take my Creator's answer any day over anyone who is reading something from a book I don't believe in.

IMHO, that's how freedom of religion is supposed to work.  Ironically, sometimes the only way to guarantee alleged freedom of religion is to have freedom FROM it.

It is a very personal issue that is ultimately between you and your Creator, not someone who demands to push their religious views on  you.

I recently heard a pastor give a prayer before a McCain rally, where he actually "warned" GOD that God's "reputation" is on the line here, and that God had better make sure that McCain becomes President or else those who believe in different "Gods" will "win."

This guy was essentially telling God to get his act together!

    Great post!
This is an intelligent, straightforward, unbiased post.  The MTs on this board should take note of it and learn from it.

    What a great post!
I agree 100% with you, geek.
I also compare him to JFK:

Obama is elegant, a great, charismatic speaker, he has a wonderful voice, he is magnetic, honest, diplomatic, seldom aggressive and much more....

His speach during his last campaign in Orlando/Florida was the best ever, it was just overwhelming.

    Great post, GP.

And I couldn't agree more about pardons for the two border patrol agents.  Instead, Bush's pardons have largely consisted of crooks who were involved in the savings and loan scandal of the 1980s.  Given today's current banking crooks and the shambles of the global economy, that says a lot about Bush's "morals" that he would prefer to pardon banking crooks instead of two brave men who were merely doing their jobs.

I think one of the biggest -- if not THE biggest -- injustice in my memory is those two men even spending one minute in jail.

    Great post - thanks.

    Great post!

You summed it up beautifully.  Thanks.

Wow! Right on - great post
I agree so much and could not have said it any better. They are knighting him calling him the savior and he hasn't even taken office yet. Time will tell whether he is a good president or not.

    Thank you for your post.
    Great post! (sm)

I couldn't agree more.  For starters, though I'm certainly no fan of Iran, after seeing what the USA did to its neighbor, Iraq, why WOULDN'T I want to have a nuclear weapon if I were Iran?

And why IS Israel allowed to have a nuclear weapon (probably paid for by US)?

After decades of "Israel is the chosen one and can do no wrong," I truly hope we become more even handed when dealing with the Middle East.  There are two sides to every story.  In my opinion, Israel's disproportionate response to the Palestinians a few weeks ago showed the world a LOT.

Some objectivity and accountability, I think, is needed and long overdue when we deal with Israel and her actions.

As far as being "brave," your post was a lot more brave (and well written) than mine, and I agree with everything you wrote.

The fact that the forgotten people you describe live in what is claimed to be the richest country on earth is appalling.

    Thank you. Great post. (sm)

I didn't agree with it when Bush did it (with Obama's support via his Senate vote), and I don't agree with it now.

I believe NO company in this country should ever be "too big to fail," and I believe all of these banks should have been allowed to survive or die on their own merits.

Furthermore, the "transparency" that was promised, so far has been nonexistent, and I'm against this, as well.

Anyway, I thought you wrote an awesome post.  Thank you.

    :-) - Great post
I've been following your messages for some time and you always put great thought into what you say. You don't let your emotions take you away (like I do), and you always just tell it like it is. I like your "Dave Mann the Caveman" statement. Sometimes people don't want to hear the truth. Sometimes people would rather just sit in their homes and continue to be dumbed down and think everything is hunky-dory. I have a BIL who refuses to listen to any bad news because "I can't handle it". But there are us out there who want to know the truth. We will listen to everything no matter how "weird" it may sound. Because that "weird theory" may just be the truth. So thanks for posts. Always insightful and fun to read.
Very well said - thank you for a great post
There's more I could say, but won't. Your post is very insightful and true.

    Thanks for posting.
