Denmark is a constitutional monarchy - meaning there is a heritary king or queen and an elected prime minister. Americans are already screaming because of Bush I and II being President - what if they were the monarch family?

Denmark also suffers from what's called 'negative social inheritance', which means that if you move to a different town or county from where you were born, you are considered an outsider for at least three generations. This also applies to education, where the length of your education depends on the length of education your parents received and your distance from a decent university, as you and your family must live in the same area as you wish to attend school at.

That added to the extremely high taxes, not exactly a country role model, IMHO.

where the people were the happiest on Earth?  They also have everything subsidized -- high taxes, yes -- but it would be worth it to live in place with virtually no crime.

Read up on Denmark.......
You are cared for from the cradle to the grave. You pay HUGE taxes, but there is very little crime, they live in nice homes and they receive excellent medical care. My mom's friend, from Denmark, has never given up her citizenship JUST for that reason.
