Don't you think that common sense would dictate this to be totally false?

It's these sort of ridiculous statements that contribute to the ignorance that is rampant out there.

No, that just has to do with some common sense
@
No, but I do have common sense.
nm
Exactly! Thanks for being common sense
nm
Well, for those with common sense
it's no secret that MORE money will have to be printed to pay for all those ridiculous programs and trillions of dollars in junk stuff. The dollar is worth nadda right now, so it will be worth nil afterwards. How much lower can you go?

Anyone with half a brain knows even if we weren't paying for a wars, that wouldn't even touch the money needed to cover the trillion dollar screwover job he's doing to the American people. He can cut this and cut that and call it duplicate programs, blah, blah, blah, but what good is that when he turns around and ADDS and ADDS more and more trillions of dollars in spending programs?

Government has never and WILL NEVER be the ones who know how to spend your money. All you Obama lovers need to stop pointing fingers at the republicans. Republicans AND Democrats spend too much; that's why it continues to this day. Doesn't matter who is in office. BUT, this is one president who has absolutely gone crazy with spending..........and we thought Jimmy Carter was a nut!!
Common sense would say

that prices may go down a tad bit, but don't be looking to get a car for free. Dealerships still have to at least break even on vehicles to survive.  They can't just give a car away for nothing.  Dealerships are hurting big time right now and people have the common misconception that they will sell something really cheap because they are hurting.  Well selling something and taking a huge loss isn't going to help that dealership so why would they do it?  These salesmen work on commission and they are starving here.  What is the point of working if they can't make anything off of a car to feed their family?

If I were you....I'd just kind of shop around but I highly doubt that prices are going to drop dramatically.  Even if Chrysler files bankruptcy.....that doesn't mean dealerships selling them will file too.  It certainly won't help sales but it doesn't automatically mean they are going under too.  They still have a product to sell and to make money off of to survive.

Did your common sense tell you...(sm)
that I wasn't talking to you?
Common sense...
some have it...some don't...
Lack of common sense

An 83-year-old woman is too old, most likely, to be of much assistance in Iraq.  Not ruling it out totally, but most likely this is the case.  I have gleaned from the posts I have read that the rah-rah-war conservatives doing most of the posting are fairly able-bodied, some in their 30s, some in their 50s and some older.  I am 52 and if I truly truly believed in this war I feel I would be over there doing what I could to support that effort (especially since many over there do NOT want to be there and have serious qualms about our involvement).  But go ahead, call me names and make even more ENDLESS excuses why you won't go.  Maybe even mention a 95-year-old or a 5-year-old that supports the war as examples of folks who aren't over there.

In the meantime I read more and more that the Taliban and Al-Qaeda continue to grow and operate at ease and at will in a large area of Afghanistan near Pakistan.

It common sense - if we can afford one
Simple as that.  You can twist it around as much as you want, but the truth is the money is there, and it is just about priorities.  I am not trying to personally attack you.  I have not resorted to childish name calling or anything like that, I just think your view is warped, and you obviously think my view is wrong, and we will obviously never agree on this issue.
There is also such a thing as common sense.
nm
You would say that. Common sense is lost to the
nm
Common sense and ethics

seems to become less and less around these days.  I  agree with your post.  The b/c issue is so the least of my worries and I simply don't understand exactly what it is the supporters of same want to accomplish.

I fear we haven't seen anything yet.  Heard on CNN (which of course some will say is  not credible) that the unemployment rate could reach 20% within the next few months.  I should think with MTs not having enough work now, that would keep them sufficiently busy worrying.  I don't know what Obama will do.  All I know to do is pray.  I think it is entirely possible that Bush AND the congress have put us so far in the tank there may not be any way out economically.  My guess is that we will be taken over by one of our creditor nations and there goes what's left of our freedom, certainly the freedom to get on the internet and state our thoughts.  But then Bush has bought himself a ranch in Argentina isn't it?  So if his residence in Big D doesn't suit him along with the condition he has left this country in, he has an escape.  Unfortunately most of us can't afford that luxury so we'll be left to deal with the mess he and the idiot congress have left us along with a massive debt in proportions I cannot begin to comprehend.

Yes, there are many more things at this point that are far more important than the b/c issue.  Wouldn't surprise me if these lawsuits are being filed to dupe people who believe everything they hear.  As I've said before, I do not believe that those who are keeping this b/c thing rolling posting the same thing over and over and over are actually MTs.  I think they are promoting a political agenda.  I have said this before and I notice no one has posted challenging my thoughts.

I had a great holiday.  Thanks for asking.  I hope you had a great time too.

No, some of us have values and common sense.

It is just common sense that the economy has to ...sm
come first before any big changes are made. When change is made it needs to be slow and deliberate.
thought u would have enough common sense

when I posted my original post FOCA I was responding to some people below, if you do not like my posts or are sick of hearing about the video, then common sense tells you, dont read my posts.  A blah blah blah post or I'm sick of hearing it post, really doesn't have anything constructive to offer to the conversation.  If you are sick of hearing it, move on already.  No one asked you to comment.  And what the heck is a diest anyway?  My what they come up with these days.

Agree. You'd think it would be common sense.
Tax breaks for the top 2% and corporations, or tax breaks and programs to get the economy going again for working people. I don't understand why so many working-class republicans fight against their own interests.
Ron Paul's common sense
never fails to restore my faith in the democratic process. His ideas are rooted in thoughtful, down-to-earth analysis and free of partisan affiliation and agendas. It makes me proud when an elected official has the guts to stand up and speak against US involvement in the Middle East, call it exactly what it is and in the next breath expouse the wisdom of centrism when speaking on the economy and the bail outs. I hope he's around for many years to come.
What we need is a common-sense quotient.

That is the ONLY common sense thing he

That one just takes a little common sense...(sm)
and a little fact checking.  You might want to try it sometime.
not negativity, just common sense sm
that whether the president is "hot" or not shouldn't even be an issue. He is in Washington to run the country (that is a joke) not to play beach model!
Taking a course on common sense

Why can't some people just use common sense?

Obama is going to try to "force" those who want healthcare to be unionized..... which is illegal, but you hide and watch........which will, of course, kill small businesses.    Ron Paul does have it right..........

Semantics versus common sense...
As I mentioned previously, the phrase I mentioned was "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness," which is in the Declaration of Independence, not the Constititution. I never mentioned citizens at all, and neither did that phrase.

What I did say is that the law of this land - and any country I am aware of - protects human life, and I'm pretty sure there is little argument that a pregnant woman is always pregnant with a human life...not a gopher, a lampshade, or a pickle. There has never been a human pregnancy that produced anything other than a human being. We (human beings) have laws to protect other human beings. I just don't understand why some people don't think unborn human beings should be included in that protection. Hiding behind religious differences, constitutional "technicalities," and "live and let live" rhetoric doesn't negate the fact that human beings give birth to human beings, and if you kill that human being - any human being, either in the womb or out, it is wrong, ethically, morally, by all human standards and all human laws in all countries of which I am aware.

Gourdpainter, I love your common sense
viewpoint of all of this.  We just have to consider ourselves fortunate to be blessed with the intelligence and clear-minded thinking that seems to be so lacking in many of these posts.

Logic and common sense tell me the content of this message
Our government agencies tend to err on the side of caution in these circumstances. I do agree that votes will not and should not be swayed one way or the other. I just found this to be a fascinating piece of news.

Common sense needed, not book smarts
I'm sorry but we have had too many SMART people running this country...what we need is some people with COMMON SENSE running this country.  I have worked with people from lawyers, to doctors, to laborers when I waitressed and the smartest people don't have a lick of common sense.  THAT is what is wrong with our government, no common sense and no real life experience.  You show me 1 politician who has ever worried about their house payment or car payment or who has had $10 left in their checking acct at the end of the month-you can't because their isn't 1.  They do not understand the average joe because they've never been the average joe.  So how can they help us?
Sadly, common sense and good behavior...........sm
are seldom rewarded but highly expected and those who practice sound financial habits are often not given the breaks that those who do not are given. It just seems harsh to say "screw them" when one may not know the circumstances and when there may be children involved who would be homeless through no fault of their own. Guess I'm just a little tender-hearted about that.
What a beautifully written, truthful, common sense post.
Cannot add a thing. Thank you for telling it like it is so profoundly and full of truths!

Common sense, street smarts and intelligence would be ideal.
Considering the choice we were given, I think we did the right thing and that we will be on the mend sooner rather than later.

Don't you just love the way they try to dictate how/where WE move
on our own board?  What a bunch of kooks!
I was just making a point that if somebody gives you something, they cannot dictate how to use it -
x
Excuse me, but you will not dictate whether or not I include articles in my post.

I post articles here in order to encourage a debate about the articles.  In your limited Israel-is-always-right-and-anyone-who-questions-that-is-worthy-of-a-rabid-attack attitude, you can't see that and once again wish to control everything, even how people communicate with each other.

All you want to do is tear down, not build anything.  I gave my reasons for posting this article.  In those reasons I expressed some skepticism about Hezbollah's sincerity.  Instead of offering an intelligent response to those reasons, you once again slammed the door of dialogue and showed that your abilities to communicate are so limited that all you can do is berate and insult.  To call me anti-American only highlights your ignorance.  I am absolutely pro-American, and I'm very fearful where President Bush is leading us.  It's the duty of every American to question what he or she sees as failures or inadequacies in the administration that is in power regardless of party affiliation.  I felt the same way during the Clinton administration, and I feel the same way now.

If I were to come on here and say that Hezbollah is rebuilding Lebanon and now the Bush administration wants to compete with them, I would get responses that demand I provide my source, and rightly so.  That is the reason I post the entire article itself.  I want to gauge if it brings the same questions to the minds of other (repeat once again) LIBERALS as it does to me.

You're free to have your opinion of me, but you come off as pompous and controlling, demanding that everyone bow down and kiss Israel's feet.  The mere suggestion that Israel may be even slightly wrong elicits anger and rage from you, and you have shown that repeatedly.

No, you are not obligated to engage in debate with anyone here, but don't whine and complain that you're unable to when someone offers you the opportunity.  Your failure to do so when invited only proves how angry and full of rage you are.

For the record, I have never said you were sent to shut down the board.  It's laughable to even imagine you have the power to do that.  You are no more important or influential than I am or than any other poster on this board is.  Get over yourself already.

And, no, I have no idea which sentence of the original article you find disturbing.  I personally found several of them disturbing, but I refuse to engage in any guessing games with you.

Am I paranoid?  I sure am these days.  I'm pro-peace and I'm living in a country run by a President who is trigger happy and who has done nothing but incite the world.

If looking at Israel objectively is anti-Israel according to your definition, then so be it.  You said previously on this board that just because Israel didn't bother to send any troops to Iraq didn't mean they're an ally.  Please enlighten me.  With the BILLIONS of dollars we give Israel every year, along with weapons, we are definitely an ally to Israel.  Please explain how Israel is an ally to us.  Is it because they grace us with their agreement to take our money and then spy on us?  (I could post a number of articles regarding the spying, but since you don't like it when I do that, feel free to Google it on your own.)  What have they done for us in return?

I have always believed Israel was the underdog in the Middle East and have always favored them.  This is the first time I have ever questioned their actions.  We here in America still have freedom of thought and speech, whether you like it or not.  You know nothing of me, including how I believe.  Your assessment of me is not only wrong, it's absurd and only proves how you interact with people who disagree.  I am very relieved that you are not representative of all Israelis, as it gives me a small sense of hope.

I doubt your sincerity in stating that I'm not worth the time to answer, considering all the time you spent doing just that.  Another example of your hypocrisy.  No doubt you will waste your time once again responding to this with more hatred and insults, only this time I will let you have the last word, since you are now no longer worth the time it takes to respond.

Not all Americans.........I didn't let fear and ignorance dictate

No, both plus yours are false.
On intercountry adoption you will find the following: "...the laws of the child’s country of birth govern all activity in that country including the adoptability of individual children as well as the adoption of children in the country in general"...that country of birth being the United States. It does not matter in the slightest the hoops Obama's mom and adopted father had to jump through to satisfy INDONESIAN immigration law, designation of religion or school admission requirements. Dual citizenship, triple citizenship...whatever...does NOT and WILL NEVER cancel his US citizenship.
