EHR is not all about that -

EHR just means electronic health records - the hospital I work for has EHR and we do transcription all day long everyday. It is not about pointing at boxes and checking - it is about having all the records computerized and not having paper charts.

It is much easier for the doctors to access records, the doctors have access to the records from their offices, the insurance companies and pharmacies have access to the parts of the record that are pertinent to what they need ---

and there are 12 of us sitting there happily typing every day!
