My clinic has gone to this...sm

I understood from one of our docs that it would be required by the government by either 2012 or 2014 or something like that, I'm not really sure of the date.  Ours is not voice recognition, it is templates and making entries in the record itself.  They just started using it for some patients about a month or so ago and already my workload has decreased by probably at least 1/3.  We have six physicians and I am the only transcriptionist.  Supposedly after the first of the year they are going to start using it for all their patients.  I have no idea what I am going to be doing to fill in my time.  I am full-time in-house, paid by the hour.  So far no one seems to know what I will be doing.

If the clinic I used to work for had VR at least I would still have a job..sm
I could be editing their reports, instead they went to an EMR that has options including the point and click system for their notes. I was laid off 4 months after they started the new system.
Palin: 'I don’t know' if abortion clinic bombers are 'terrorists'

In her interview with NBC’s Brian Williams, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said that Bill Ayers is “no question” a terrorist because he sought to destroy the U.S. Capitol and the Pentagon. Palin, however, refused to apply the same label to abortion clinic bombers:
Q: Is an abortion clinic bomber a terrorist, under this definition, governor?
PALIN: (Sigh). There’s no question that Bill Ayers via his own admittance was one who sought to destroy our U.S. Capitol and our Pentagon. That is a domestic terrorist. There’s no question there. Now, others who would want to engage in harming innocent Americans or facilities that uh, it would be unacceptable. I don’t know if you’re going to use the word terrorist there.

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) has repeatedly voted against protecting Americans from domestic terrorists carrying out violence at abortion clinics
