How do they do it?

Can anyone tell me how you think reporters are able to keep an "even keel" when reporting on politics.  DH and I find ourselves shouting at the TV, calling this one a liar, that one a liar, etc, etc.  Politics really gets the ol blood pressure going, but no we cannot just turn it off (not that easy).  We want to know what's going on in our country, what the candidates stand for (or say they stand for when they don't).  What I haven't figured out is how some of these reporters can just report on the issues and not get wound up.  A lot of them you know who they want in, but some I just haven't been able to tell (which is really the way it should be), just wondered if people can actually talk about politics without getting wound up.
