know a lot about politics, and I have never claimed too, but Obama frightens me. He is way to charming and it almost seems cultish the way people follow him! I certainly don't like the way things are going now, but I'm not sure a radical change to the other side will make things any better.
I heard someone say that he said he wouldn't put his hand on the Bible if he was sworn in? Maybe that is rumor, just wondering? If it is true, I think that is wrong. Our country was built on God. Then again, to a lot of people, swearing on the Holy Bible is like swearing on a copy of the Times now.
I don't think Mccain is a much better choice. I feel like we have kind of been thrown into choosing the worst of the best. Extreme left or extreme right.
I do like Mccain's idea of offering a "prize" to whoever can come up with a new energy source for vehicles. Drilling anywhere is just like putting a band-aid on a hemorrhage, it isn't going to fix anything. But the oil tycoons aren't going to let us get off the hook that easy, they make way to much money off of us!
It's sad when people have to choose between a gallon of milk and a gallon of gas. I really feel we are on the brink of devastation no matter who is in office, and we just keep digging in deeper and deeper.
Maybe we really are nearing the end...if the USA collapses, everyone else will be soon to follow I think!
Anyways, just my opinion, like I said, I don't know a lot about politics, but just my gut feeling is that Obama scares me and Mccain isn't going to change much.
