I do believe that your everyday cleaning products have too many chemicals in them and they could cause lung diseases, but no one ever did a study on those, did they? Nope, the culprits are always cigarettes and alcohol.
Don't get me wrong...the studies don't lie, but I would love to see a study on some of the chemicals in cleaning products, air fresheners, etc. Bet you'd be surprised.

I agree about the alcohol.
The only reason I can think that these people don't have harsher punishments for drunk driving is because our prisons are full and they just really can't house them for long periods of time. It too irritates me when people with multiple offenses kill someone and hardly anything is done.....it makes me sick. I've never personally lost anyone to alcohol but I just don't understand why punishments and enforcement isn't a lot more strict than they are.

Whoever decided on the was asleep at the switch, IMHO. Raise the cost of cigarettes, less people smoke, less money to fund the program. All the non-smokers won't be funding it at all. They need to change the funding to something that everyone uses, like a tax on electric bills.

to partially fund it, because the realistic Republicans on the hill know that will not be enough. Why is it a bad thing to say we need to look at all the social programs out there and prioritize? Fund childrens health care first. I would have no problem with that whatsoever. With what is left, divvy it up among existing programs. If we all agree that childrens health care should come first, I don't see why anyone would have a problem with that. I don't see why anyone would have a problem with a bill that extended the program to cover all American children but held provision to stricter signing up policy to eliminate illegals? Why would Democrats not agree to that? Because those some illegals vote them in every year probably. Sigh.
How can you compare smoking cigarettes with being
