It's different than choosing HC because

You go it backwards. The DNC, Bill, Hillary, her supporters, the press and democrats in general were hoping and, at times, pushing that idea because that "dream team" ticket would have been unbeatable in terms of assuring democrat victory in November.

Trouble is, this was not Obama's "dream team" because of the tactics HC used during the primary, Bill's attitude, the 1-on-1 personality clash that was apparent between him and HC and the idea that, in reality, it would be a 3-way presidency. So, unlike JM, he did NOT cave to the pressure, did NOT base his decision on electability, and opted to choose a candidate who (in his words) could help him make the best decisions possible for the country, particularly in the area of foreign policy. This is somebody who he admires, trusts, has experience and is a good family man with integrity.

These seem like pretty solid reasons on which to base a pick. They make an excellent team because they complement one another. Vision plus experience, a winning combination for this country at a time when it is needed the most. That is how this is different than not choosing Hillary.

How is that different from not choosing Hillary....
when she is as qualified. Because the DNC said no.
you have the option of choosing it too -
anybody can choose it - not just people who do not have access to insurance.
Picking and choosing...(sm)
when we want majority rule to count....Hmmmm.  That sounds exactly like what the religious community did when they pushed to get it on the ballot.
this is in regards to Obama choosing biden for VP

it's not original but it is fitting.

this is in regards to Obama choosing biden for VP, Huckabee said

"it's like going to Baskin Robbins and picking vanilla" LOL

I love it. The man who supposedly is about change, doesn't select a VP that's anything different than any of the other demos out there.

McBush not looking 2 smart for choosing her...
First of all Palin is *not* stupid, she's just not ready - and might never be ready.

She should be commended for stepping up when the GOP machine came calling. McBush picked her because he was pressured to, and probably because the other experienced GOP contenders said, 'uh, think I'll pass.'

And the media IS taking some good swipes at her - after all she baited them to do so a bit in her speech. Note to Palin: You weren't just trying to win over the GOP delegates in your first speech to the world, you were trying to win us *all* over. You should have skipped the cutesy/snarky...
His real mistake was not choosing the
hero, Mr. O, wanted him to choose!
Choosing 1 word out of a definition........... sm
does not make the definition fit your particular agenda.

The definition of an apple per WordNet at Princeton:

NOUN (2)

1. fruit with red or yellow or green skin and sweet to tart crisp whitish flesh;

2. native Eurasian tree widely cultivated in many varieties for its firm rounded edible fruits;
[syn: apple, orchard apple tree, Malus pumila]

Now the definition of pear....

NOUN (2)

1. sweet juicy gritty-textured fruit available in many varieties;

2. Old World tree having sweet gritty-textured juicy fruit; widely cultivated in many varieties;
[syn: pear, pear tree, Pyrus communis]

Does that mean that apples are pears simply because of 1 word in the definition that is the same (fruit)?

You have proven no facts whatsoever. You have presented your opinion, plain and simple.
I heard that McCain was TOLD he would be choosing her!

Tired of choosing between crap and crap?
I posted "over there" and so I figured I'd post over here, too.  Anyone else tired of party wars and sheep mentality and more interested in the Constitutional Republic that made us what we are now?
