Comedy is a useful tool, and it's also about all anyone can do with someone as ridiculous as Santorum.  So it's a matter of making lemonade out of lemons disguised as WMDs, LOL!

I can't figure out what he was hoping to achieve by conducting this farce.  It's not like he's going to court and can plead insanity.  His punishment will be the loss of his senate seat.  People are sick of all the lying during the last five years.  Just in case any of them were starting to forget about it (hard to do with almost daily recurrences), he just ripped the scab off that wound.

I actually feel sorry for the poor guy.  He must be very desperate.
