Why not? I know the concerns as I have plenty of them myself.

but I have too good of a life to worry for now. Once his policies start affecting me (ie TAXES) then we will have some complaints...

I did notice he had his hand over his heart during the Anthem... he must have gotten good PR telling him to after the photo came out of him NOT doing that...

Oh, I'm optimistic, just not about Obama. I'm optimistic in my faith,
my family, my church.  I'm downright pessimistic when it comes to the nature of this president, the fate of this country, and those who cling to both.
I am quite optimistic...

...about my ability to roll with the punches.  I simply cannot identify with the passive, victim culture we have become.  I particularly do not understand how this president, who ran on a nebulous platform of hope and change, can foster the notion that only government can rescue us and then propose the same policies that have failed in the past.  I do not believe shoring up failed businesses and spending ourselves out of a crisis with borrowed or fabricated money is going to work any better than it did in the 1920s and 1930s. (Although we did get some really nice dams out of it.)  Does no one read history anymore?

After our government owns a controlling interest in industry, has nationalized banks and socialized medicine, after we have that really scary civilian corps (more powerful than the military) Obama was planning, what will remain of the country that sparked competition and excellence?  Not a whole lot. Only the USSA.  Has no one read Atlas Shrugged?

If I were down to my last hundred bucks and decided to throw it all into a money-making scheme because *you have to spend money to make money* that would be my right and my risk.  If I fail, you are not obligated to make it all better for me. If I succeed, I may choose to help out others.  I have NO right to risk your life savings.  That's what I feel is going on right now.  The government is printing up a whole bunch of money - backed by nothing - getting ready to fling it into the air, hoping wherever it lands it will fix what ails our economy.  Worse money after bad.

But you're not being optimistic. (NM)
