In Reply to: Bush inherited a 559 billion surplus nuff said? NM - ok

9/11 was also a financial disaster designed to bring our economy to its knees, as well as the loss over 3000 lives.  And I think I mentioned it was 8 years of Clinton's goofy foreign policy that directly led to this event.

Clinton sort of played at a couple of skirmishes around the world but did not find it necessary to respond to the direct attacks happening his watch.  Nothing on the scale of Afghanistan (which Obama still thinks is important, by the way) and Iraq.

Yeah, yeah, before you start with the Bush lied, people died thing, we were not the only nation that relied on the intelligence on WMDs.  Have we forgotten Hussein's 1990 invasion of Kuwait (for oil) which resulted in the UN sanctions that he ignored, his decade of saber rattling and posturing and not playing nicely with the UN inspectors from 1991-2003?  Oh, and the genocide, and the rape and torture rooms, starving his own citizens and other trivia?  Yeah, there's oil in Iraq, as there was in Kuwait.  Get over it.

If we eventually failed to find an anthrax factory, I'd say we still made no mistake going in.  No more than we did getting into WW-II and slapping down Hitler, (which we might not have done if it were not for Pearl Harbor. )

So Bush waged war on two fronts for 6 of his 8-year presidency, which kind of eats up a budget surplus.  Obama and his crew have us trillions more in debt in just two months.  I'd say that's pretty enterprising, even for a democrat.  Can't wait to see what happens next.
