I just think it is ironic.

It does happen on both sides of the spectrum...But there's nothing worse than a hypocrit. We all fall short, so why boast about having *better values* and how you are going to make all these changes for the better when you've got one hand in the cookie jar? Whether you want to admit it or not YOUR party ran on the mantra of bring back moral values to the White House and to America, so while I'm not mad at these crooks, (it wasn't my money, it was big businesses giving it to him), it doesn't change the fact that they don't know the high road no better than the next man.

I guess the simplified question for you would be -- why bring religion into a post that had nothing to do with religion?
