Areas of common shared interests:
1. Governance of institutions, legal system and fundamental rights. Common government means the loss of individual countries powers....ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT.
2. Foreign relations including humanitarian aid, military and defense.  Combined military forces eventually leading to one world militiary.
3. Justice and home affairs. Common justice system, probably a combination of laws and punishments from member countries.  Do you want to be living under some of the archaic laws that some of the third-world countries currently have?
4. Economy, consisting of single market, monetary union, competition and budget.Common monetary system.....One world currency and your "dollar" won't buy as much as it used to. 
5. Development of agriculture, energy, infrastructure, regional development, environment, education and research. Interference with agriculture, energy and infrastructure, etc., means this union will control the wold's food supply and energy supplies and set the prices for your food and energy.

Now, go do some research on the NAU and the other regional unions in the works and how they will all combine together to create a one-world government and one-world currency that will usher in the prophecies written in Revelation.  Before you call me a religious kook or something, you had better take the blinders off and see where this world is heading and heading fast.  I hear dandelion greens go well with crow.....probably the only thing you will be able to afford when this all comes to pass.
