In Reply to: McCain's age - McCain's image

His age does concern me especially since he's making way too many mistakes about the facts and someone always has to correct him, or he can't remember. Kind of brings me back to remembering Ronald Regan when Nancy had to help him along. Is this what we are going into again. There were so many other qualified candidates (more qualified than McCain) but this is what we're stuck with? Really does go to show me that politicians are bought and paid for by the big corporation - not voted in by the people. He is showing signs of Alzheimer/dementia for sure but nobody will say that, all they say is "your attacking his age". It's not an attack, its a fact of life...most people that are his age are forgetting a lot of stuff. This is why I keep saying they need to put an age limit on candidates. In the private sector you retire at what used to be 65, but now is 70 and 75. Why is one of the most important positions in America open people over 70 years old and not in their right mind????? There should be a minimum and maximum age you are allowed to be leader of our country. This is a legitimate reason and talking point. Especially with what we are seeing in John McCain. I don't care if he was a POW or in the service. That time has passed.

I also agree that the teleprompter statement is a cheap shot if you could call it that at all. When you say a cheap shot you are usually stating a truth, you just don't like that it was brought up, but this is just not true. Just cos Fox News or Rush Limbaugh or CNN or any of the conservative view points say he did it doesnt mean its true. Especially when there is no proof.

Whether you like Obama or not at least be "above" the media and don't repeat what they say. We all know who they want to win.

Lastly - Obama IS a much better speaker than McCain. Seeing as the president doesn't really make any of the decisions (that's what congress and his cabinet is there for), I want someone representing the country that is a decent speaker and can carry on a conversation with ease and knowledge, not someone who is constantly making mistakes, stumbling, forgetting and constantly stating over and over "my friends" with silent pauses for a few minutes which I am to assume is probably to give time for applause. I think he would do better to hold up one of those hollywood cue cards that tell the audience to applaud.
