This says it all: What some call Marxism/socialism, others think of as simple, basic humanity. It is time for that one fundamental American value to be restored for all our sakes, once and for all.
Marxism is not American, my friend. It is anti everything America stands for, free enterprise, the freedom to work hard for a better life, secure in the fact that the government is not going to take away what you earn and give it away to someone who did not earn it. Marxism is nothing more than class envy. Those nasty old rich people...they have too much. I don't have enough, and they should give some of theirs to me. That is antiAmerican.
You don't want to and won't hear this, but it is Democrats overtaxation of corporations that forced jobs offshore. They did not do that because they wanted to. People want low prices, and the Democrats want to keep the nanny state alive, so tax, tax, tax "the rich"...who already pay over 90% of the taxes in this country...those same rich who employ most of the people in this country. That is basic common obvious sense, yet you are so indoctrinated in the socialist agenda that the government needs to take from the rich and give to those who are not willing to work for it...that you cannot see it.
The shrinking middle class...and you don't think high taxes and the nanny state are just as responsible for that?? The middle class has been TAXED into the lower class. If you want the middle class back, advocate a flat percentage tax. Then you will have ALL your classes back. But please, don't raise my taxes more so that you can put MORE people on programs.
Foreclosure rates were at an all-time LOW last year. Yes, there were problems this year, but Bush had nothing to do with it. People wanting more than they could afford and floating rate mortgages are commpletely what is responsible for the housing crisis. If you want to change that, then you need to tell your congresspeople to pass legislation outlawing that find of predatory lending, and people who can't afford a regular fixed rate mortgage will just have to wait until they can. It took me until I was in my 40's. Some things are worth waiting for. I am by no means rich, but no one is foreclosing on me either, because I did not take out a loan I could not afford. Can we please assign a little responsibility to individuals? Just a little bit, please?
The health care "crisis." We have the best health care system in the world. It is not the responsibility of the working American to pay for the insurance of Americans who cannot or will not pay insurance premiums. Nothing is free...universal health care will come out of the pockets of all Americans, and we are taxed out. If you want government sponsored health care, then Congress needs to re-evaluate and cut the fat and fund health care first. What makes you think if they do do that, that in 5 years they will raid that fund just like the Dems did social security? Yes, it was the Democratically controlled Congress who raided social security funds. It was supposed to have been put back. Well guess what? It wasn't. You know how out of control spending is. You know what Congress makes and what their pension plan is. Why not hold them responsible instead of taxing more and throwing more money down the black hole that is social programs? Again...can we not show some responsibility here?
Marxism = communism, and that does not work. Look at Russia. There is the upper class in government and everybody else. Certainy no "middle class." Socialism invariably turns into dictatorship, because when an entire population is dependent upon a central government for their needs...hello dictatorship. Next it will be govt taking OVER the oil business and doling out the profits to everyone...that is what they SAY...but that is never what happens. Ask the regular Venezuelan citizens if their oil check is in the mail.
