The War?

In Reply to: Yeah, he's sometimes "fun-to-watch" (as spoofed - on SNL), but I think it's time for a change.

The biggest thing that this election should be about is the war.  People should be asking themselves why we went to war with Iraq when it had nothing to do with 9-11 and why most of the people who should have realized that and challenged the Bush administration did not. The people we put in office to protect us ultimately let us down.  One of the very few people who did oppose the war was Barack Obama, recognizing there was no legitimate reason to go to war with Iraq and what the consequences of going to war with Iraq might be.

The bottom line is we squandered a trillion dollars of national treasure by going to war with Iraq when our true threats to the future are Russia and China and now we're too broke to do anything about it.

What has taken place over the last 8 years has dramatically changed the future of this country.  This war will affect our children, our children's children and many future generations.  It's important we do now the best we can with a dire situation.  And when I look at the 2 choices we have I want the man who had the judgment to oppose this war and not the one who did not.
