We have the right to believe

that an act is disgusting and wrong.   We may not like the act, but that gives us no right to treat the person badly.

My dad was a smoker.  Died from emphysema almost 2 years ago actually.  I loved my dad dearly and appreciate the love and support he gave me throughout the years.  However, cigarette smoking is disgusting.  Does that mean I hated my dad or treated him bad?  Of course not.  I just hated his smoking.

I think many people think that since we disagree with homosexuality that we instantly hate them.  A true Christian doesn't feel that way.  We may disapprove of the act, but we don't hate that person.  We also have to remember that we aren't perfect either and makes mistakes as well.

I really do believe that people on both sides of this discussion could use a teaching in tolerance as well.
