some black people still blame whites for the slavery of their ancestors and yet wasn't it Africans who sold their own into slavery?  I don't condone slavery at all.  I'm glad it was abolished.  However, I do get tired of hearing how blacks are oppressed by whites when it was their own people who sold their ancestors as slaves to the whites.  Yet they cling to their African roots and are called African-Americans.  If slavery is such a sore spot with them, you would think they would place some blame on their African counterparts who sold their ancestors in the first place instead of totally condemning whites for their ancestors suffering and totally disregarding all the white men who fought and died to abolish slavery.
