You're kidding
There is no doubt in my mind that impeaching Bush wound endanger our troops.  You need to study the radical terrorist mind a little better.
You're kidding right?
We are already starting wars all over the place for OIL, and the next crop of wars will be over the shortage of WATER...

GLOBAL WARMING has *everything* to do with peace, or the lack thereof.
You're kidding, right??
Boy, now that is a STRETCH. Did you see the criteria that someone posted for the Peace prize? Nothing remotely like global warming was in the criteria. We are starting wars "all over the place" over oil? Prove it. If we went to Iraq over oil, why are we in Baghdad? The Green zone should be out in the oil fields to hear you tell it. If we went to Iraq for the oil, why didn't we rebuild the oil refining infrastructure first? That makes about as much sense as giving the Nobel peace prize to AL Gore for a movie based on flawed science. Both theories seriously flawed. With all due respect of course.
You're kidding, right????
I'm sorry you spent so much time looking up that little speech and stats but you missed the part where none of that has ANYTHING to do with what is going on with this election. The trillions of dollars in monies spent for the war and rebuilding their infrastructures are not our monies. We don't have it. This country has been in debt up to our *** for years, long before Bush (and, no, I am not a Bush supporter). You need to study up on where we get our money....from communist countries, China and North Korea to name a couple. We are indebted to them to the tune of trillions of dollars. We use other countries' monies for just about everything, including running our own government. Now, do you think for a moment those social handouts we have now are doing any good? The monies are wasted to the tune of millions a year. No one monitors the use of the money given to them. It is blown over and over. When it's not theirs, the ones in charge certainly aren't concerned about what they spend it on and how. This happened waaaayyy before Bush. This garbage has been going on for generations, Rep and Dem, not just one party. It's the self-righteous lawyers we put in office that ruin our country for their own benefits. Wouldn't you like to write your own paycheck and give yourself a raise whenever you wanted? They do, and will continue to get it for the rest of their lives, long after they are out of office, including their spouses until THEY die. This is where our monies go. We don't need dear Obama to tax to death those who try to make a living (like he cares...do you know how much he has?) And, I can guarantee you he will not be paying squat. He will jump through every tax loophole he can find just like the rest, so he is no savior to our country's problem. He has a mixed-up mentality of more taxes will take care of our woes. How do you proport that will happen? All that will do is break this country because the few that pay taxes now will be taxed beyond their abilities. If you think for a minute Obama will help the impoverished Americans with the war chest after the troops are home, you are living in a dream. He could care less about what happens to them when they get home. This man has blown every which way but straight. And he is not alone. Most candidates change their tunes to get elected. But none of your stats have anything to do with taxing up to death. We didn't have money before the war and sure don't have it now. It is called tax and spend and he will screw us even more. He has preached this to you since he began this campaign. HE said he would TAX TAX TAX!!!! Tell me when have you seen anything handled efficiently by the government when using US taxpayers' monies??? Nothing!! He will not do it any differently. We do need a strong military defense, every country should, and I have never backed up getting ourselves into wars and other countries' policies and business, but Obama is definitely not the answer to our woes. Not by a long shot.
You're kidding right?

American Thinker (AT) is a conservative daily internet publication. According to it website, American Thinker presents a "thoughtful exploration of issues of importance to Americans." [1]

There is ample evidence to support the notion that AT serves as part of the right wing's echo chamber.

A good example of this can be found in a December 5th, 2007 piece on the National Intelligence Estimate report on the state of Iran's Nuclear weapon's program.[1]

Writer Ed Lasky first refers to an Editorial in the New York Sun inferring that the intelligence community is against President Bush.[2] Lasky concludes that "the National Intelligence Estimate was cooked up by bureaucrats eager to embarrass George Bush and transform US policy towards Iran." To substantiate his argument he goes on to quote an editorial from the Wall Street Journal[3] which avers the authors of the NIE study are: "former State Department officials with previous reputations that should lead one to doubt their conclusions. All three are ex-bureaucrats who, as is generally true of State Department types, favor endless rounds of negotiation and "diplomacy" and oppose confrontation. These three officials, according to the Wall Street Journal, have 'reputations as hyper-partisan anti-Bush officials'." This statement "Hyper-partisan anti-Bush officials", restated as fact in the AT article, is quoted and requoted by rightwing blogs and news sources throughout the media.[4][5][6]

Ultimately this type of statement winds up being echoed by mainstream pundits such as Rush Limbaugh

You're kidding, right?
What have you been smoking?
Huh??? You're kidding right?

"At least Nancy Pelosi spends her time constructively rather than just spewing hatred and anger like some people."???

She hates anyone who doesn't go along with her agenda. Listen closely when she speaks. She spews more hatred than the congress and senate together.

I'm not getting into an argument but when things go her way, she's happier than a pig in sh---" (old saying where I come from), but when she's not getting her way, she's downright nasty.

I do spend my time constructively if that was directed at me. Look at most of my other posts. I usually don't pick sides, just give facts as well as I can by research.

You're kidding me.....right?

I know the history of Jonestown, thank you.  I know what they drank.  I know why they drank.  FYI, since it was used in huge quantities it was more likely to be a Flavor Aid drink than actual Kool-Aid but whatever.

When we refer to drinking the Kool-Aid....to us this means being a strong believer in a particular philosophy or mission — wholeheartedly or blindly believing in its virtues.

If you take offense to this, sorry but I'm not going to stop using it.  I think some people need to grow thicker skin and stop whining about insignificant stuff.

You're kidding, right?
What about those kids on the playground? If there's 15 or more, they're breaking the law?

And the folks waiting at the airport for their plane. Lawbreakers?

It amazes me that there are people like you who still seem to have no basic concept of American individual freedom. What, are you from Iran or something?

Or are you just being all hateful because of WHAT they're studying? Do you have a problem with Christianity? Is that it?
If these folks were studying calculus, or scrapbooking, or Thai cooking, would you say they are breaking the law? Or is it just the fact that they're exercising their right to peaceful assembly AND their right to freedom of RELIGION that peeves you off?
You're kidding....right?
If you actually believe Jesus would tell O he has done a good job, you're deluded. Christians do not believe in gay marriages NOR abortion and Obama has stood by both, so if you actually think Jesus is for gay marriage and abortion, you need to have a heart to heart with Jesus.

He is standing for equality? Do you EVER get off the Obama trip long enough to see the hypocracy in your comments? If he were standing for equality, he would be standing up AGAINST abortion..... where's the equality for the unborn?

Please don't bother with a rebuttal with your yammering on and on..... you just have nothing logical to say!!!
Careful Barack? you're kidding.
He wasn't too careful with his asssociations was he? He may APPEAR thoughtful and careful, but it is a facade. He doesn't have near as much on the ball as McCain/Palin and definitely not the judgment i want in a leader.
you're kidding about oprah and ellen, right?
You think Oprah and Ellen don't share their wealth? did you ever watch their shows and see how much they give to others? Do you have any idea how much they donate to various charities??
And I'm just the opposite....

McCain picking Palin has just reassured me that I picked the right man. LOL!

As for the abortion....we all have to agree to disagree because if we spent all our time discussing murder versus choice......we would get nothing else done.  LOL!

Oh, just the opposite!
I am happy she can think for herself.  That is of course except for when she is under the spell of O.
I see the opposite
When the democrats don't want to face the truth they attack the republicans. Call them nasty names, tell them their delusional. They create a "race" election when the republicans are well past that. When they try and bring up about Obama being born in Kenya they are attacked something awful. They bring up valid issues and get labeled "ugly racist" and just horrible attacks on them. If McCain wins the democrats sure are going to have a hard time handling it.
Just the opposite (nm)
.
Whatever he does...they want the opposite
Notice not too many Obama supporters even come here anymore? There is so much bile and sour grapes here, it is useless to try to reason with most of these people.

Most Obama supporters have left the board and now the Pubs and Obama bashers have no one left to fight with but each other.

So boring...
You have it the opposite, Francie
nm
Nope. Quite the opposite.

I am independent, but have seen just the opposite
nm
Quite opposite, Palin already does that with FOX but sm
Obama has even been subjected to evil Oreilly and has been interviewed by various people but no PALIN, she ran with her tail between her legs to Hannity, Hannity and more Hannity and a little Rush Limbaugh. THAT is the truth.
LOL - if they married someone of opposite sex
They woundn't be gay then. HA HA HA
I have had one and have an opposite view
I had one when I was around 18 which now is almost 50 years ago and do not dwell on it now nor did I in the past. My body, did what I had to do because years ago you did not bring home a baby and be unwed, never. If you were pregnant, most of the time people sent to what they called unwed mother homes to have the baby and then the baby be adopted out. I had no regrets then and I don’t now.
That's odd Crabbroad because I see it as opposite ..
Opposite to what you say. I see the Obama naysayers as being very negative. This is my first time looking at the board. Was advised by one of my emps and I'm sorry everyone is not behind our new president.

Quite the opposite. I am glad
I feel sorry for our country.
I feel the opposite way
I always say looks mean nothing. There are some not so nice looking on the outside but are gems and are wonderful people on the inside. Then there are those who are amazingly beautiful on the outside but downright "dark" on the inside.

There are pictures of Michelle that show she is stunning, and then I've seen pictures that all I can say is I would not want to cross her path. But don't we all have those pictures. I sure do (that's why I cut them all up. HA HA) But I feel the opposite. I don't think Obama is so much more handsome. He's okay looking, but there are photos of him, that the look on his face just really makes the hair on my neck stand up and...well, lets just not go there.

It's like you say...how a person looks is in the eye of the beholder. It's what they do on the inside that makes them a good person or not. And we certainly will not even go down that path.
I'm the opposite....Extremely doubtful....
...Obama will win with Biden. Bayh would have been a better choice. Ah well.....

Capitalist? No way! Obama is just the opposite
nm
Wouldn't the opposite of CONgress (sm)
be PROgress? That thing that they just can't make any of?
I see it the opposite. You and JTBB, MSNBC,etc
nm
As usual, quite the opposite is true.
//
I thought it was, but I guess that's why we are on opposite sides of the SM
political sphere.  Like I said, different points of view. Definitely!
Feel just the opposite. O scares the crap out of me.nm
x
Pay attention. Said the exact opposite of what BT implies.
X
I am hearing the exact opposite about unemployment
I think what you have posted is absolute rubbish, scare tactics once again. I am hearing not just on the local news but national news about the work situation picking up. I think most repubs are literally cringing inside seeing just what a good job Obama is doing. I just heard from my husband yesterday his job has posting on the board his company is buying 2 additional companies which means more employees, heard about a company in the state building new plant that will hire about 600 people. Like I said, rubbish.
You have it opposite! It's HUMAN rights at stake... gosh! duh
nm
This is unbelieveable and ridiculous - your comparing two totally opposite things
You cannot compare the two. You evidently approve of the bible studies and that is fine. There is nothing wrong with a bible study if you keep it under a certain number.

These people are assembling more than 15 people in which case they need to get a license according to the law. There are certain rules why (fire codes, etc). This is being done on a regular basis. Therefore it becomes a business.

The playground for the kids have a license and is zoned for such.

The "folks at the airport for their plane. Lawbreakers?" Are you for real? That is what the airport is for. It is zoned for that and they pay their fees to whatever state, and they abide by the laws.

It's not what they are doing in their home. It's that they are assembling a large congegration of people on a regular basis in a home that is not zoned for the business.

You cannot compare this with a playground, airport, or a tupperware party (which occurs on an infrequent basis here and there).

Having a social event like scrapbooking, tupperware party, having some friends over to watch a sports game is a whole different issue (unless they have it on a weekly basis with open bar and more than 15 people - in which case they need to get a license and follow the law). It's not that we hate what they are doing. That has nothing to do with it. The law is specific and they are breaking the law.

Here's a question for you...if I lived next door to you and I belonged to a Wiccan group would you mind me having 20 or so people over every week so that we could have our ceremonies to celebrate our wiccan holidays and rituals. Would you mind that 20 or so people were in the backyard next to yours completing our ritual of praying to the moon goddess (or whatever gods/goddesses for the ritual) at night. Sometimes we build a fire and dance in circles and chant our prayers. Would you mind that. Some groups even complete their ceremonies in the nude. Would you be fine with that?

It's very simple. The law states that if you have over a certain number of people that hold regular meetings/functions you need to have a business license and follow the law. It doesn't matter what they are doing. They need to follow the law.
You're entitled to your opinion. I guess it depends on what side of the spectrum you're on.nm

Are you kidding? (sm)
He never had any cheese on his cracker! All that clown needs is a room with mirrored walls and he'd be happy!
Who are YOU kidding?

You don't want to interrupt our so-called "Bush hate-fest with facts"????

Number one, you THRIVE on this.  You thrive on spouting your drivel, fighting and spreading your venom.  You need it like a fish needs water.  You can't survive unless you spread your evil hatefulnes all over this board.  You're not satisfied with a respectful, reasonable debate.  You're not happy unless you're personally stomping someone who disagrees with you into the ground.

Number two, the entire issue involved with this thread IS "FACTS."  An increasing number of Americans want to know what the truth is, and they're bright enough to realize they've been fed a bunch of lies by the idiot in the White House.  You people are so adverse to the truth, you wouldn't be able to identify a fact if it hit you between the eyes.

I realize that you're energized and over the fact that you've got a fight going here.

You have no compelling point of view.  All you know how to do is insult and call people names.  You don't have the ability to intelligently debate any issue.  You're nothing more than message board thugs.  I personally am very uncomfortable stooping that low, and from now on, I refuse to read and/or respond to any of your posts, and I would urge the thoughtful, respectful, intelligent people who frequent this board to do the same and NOT give you the conflict that you thrive on.

Take it back to the cesspool you call home:  The Conservative Board.  Isn't that what you've repeatedly promised to do, anyway, LEAVE??  Once again, your word has just as much value and credibility as Bush's.  It's easy to see why you worship him.  You share the same "values."

I don't know that it was kidding, but it's quite different.
But I'm sure you knew that.  I could take the time to explain how these are two very different threats/comments from a legal as well as common sense standpoint but it it would fall on deaf ears.  Not playing this game with you anymore.  If you want to pretend to be ignorant, go ahead.  Just not sure why you'd want to do it in public.
You ARE kidding, right?
You never heard of TRAVELGATE?!!!!!?   Oh, well, people's lives were only ruined.  People who had worked in the travel office under many different administrations.   You know, people like you and me, just average Joes.  Until Clinton cronyism ruined their lives.  Gosh, how come you people don't know this stuff?  That's really amazing.  And disturbing.
You have got to be kidding, right?

Those comments the other night weren't particularly disturbing.  They were a bit crass at times, and the John Willkes Booth comment was a bit coarse and probably a bit over the top.....but overall they were quite amusing.  I even saved one posting because it was HILARIOUS.  Okay, probably not hilarious to the conservative board, I do realize that.  But after watching these dreadful playground bullies beat up on everyone on that board that didn't spew their propaganda there was some sort of justice in those posts that appeared.  Sort of a karmic get-even thing.  I am so glad that I got to read all of them that particular evening.

Reading the other board is kind of like passing a gruesome car accident.  You don't want to look, but yet you can't resist.....and you never know how awful it's going to be.  Human nature, I guess.

Your kidding right...??...sm
While this is not at the top of my list, a sitting president who was not elected by the people is nothing to say 'oh well' about.

I have always favored the popular vote over electorial votes. All electronic so swinging chads are not an issue.
You got to be kidding.
All day and night long, Bush used it as a political statement, beginning with Cheney and Rice on the Sunday talk show circuit and ending with a neocon made for TV movie that tried to pin the blame for 9/11 on Clinton.
Are you kidding?
213,000 refugees in 2004 and 801,000 in 2005 - I guess all this liberty/democracy/newfound security is just too much for some Iraqis, so they have to leave their country. ???????????????

Baghdad Empties as Residents Flee to Safety
Major Exodus Sends Hundreds of Thousands of Iraqis to Jordan, Syria
By JIM SCIUTTO

BAGHDAD, Iraq, Sept. 18, 2006 — - Iraqi officials insist that the government's security plan shows signs of success, but hundreds of thousands of Iraqis express a different view -- by leaving the region in hordes.

Baghdad's passport office is overrun with people trying to leave the country. On a recent afternoon, a car bomb went off just outside the gates, killing nine people.

Inside an official tried to calm the crowd, saying this happens all the time. The attack was one more reason for resident Kaiss Warash to want to leave Iraq.

I'm tired of life here, he said.

Visit bus stations in Iraq's capital and it's clear many feel the same as Warash. By some estimates, this is now the largest movement of refugees in the world today, with most of the fleeing people going to neighboring Syria and Jordan. And the pace of the movement has accelerated. In 2004, 213,000 Iraqis fled the country. Last year that number rose to 801,000.

There is persecution going on of religious minorities, of professionals … and of course Shia or Sunni, said Lavinia Limón of the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants. People are actually told if you don't leave we're going to kill you.

The drain is worst among professionals. An estimated 40 percent of the country's professionals have left, and Baghdad's main hospital is now experiencing a dangerous shortage of trauma surgeons.

Unemployed but Safe

Across Baghdad, in some areas quiet streets and vacant homes are an eerie testament to the exodus.

In Jordan entire neighborhoods of Iraqi refugees have sprung up. In Jordan they can walk the streets safely again, but many can't work legally.

One refugee told us, I don't have a job here … but there's nothing better than security.

And so many keep leaving, hoping some day it will be safe to come home.

No kidding!
I belive the vet stated that someone spat on the ground near him.  This same vet has also had other incidents happen to him.  Kind of strange.  I guess accusations of spitting have been what is called an urban legend and been around since VIet Nam.
no kidding, you are right about that
My son heard some negative ads on the radio the other day and was telling me Obama did this or McCain is going to do that, and we had to have a talk about taking all of this with a grain of salt and about twisted half-truths. It's hard to get to the bottom of a lot of it. I really commend you for "I stand corrected." Not many people are willing to do that on either side.
You have got to be kidding!

Spreading false rumors - I thought junior high was over with!

Besides, it's far more probable that the Palin had the baby due to her age, rather than her young daughter.

Grow up, would ya?

Are you kidding me?
In my family....if there is a baby in the house....it is passed around like a game of pass the parcel.  We love babies and quite frankly they get heavy sometimes....and so you pass them to someone else to TAKE A BREAK FROM THE DEAD WEIGHT OF A SLEEPING BABY. SHEESH.  This isn't child abuse.  This is called sharing the love!
are you kidding me?????
Glenn Beck last night!
