Okay if you looked anyway, you have to admit this is funny. Last night Jon Stewart (the comedian) said about Palin returning to Alaska, "she has been tagged and sent back into the wild."

I love what Campbell Brown said and I don't think you have to be a Dem or Rep to agree. Here is what Campbell had to say last night: (Yes, she is talking to Katie Couric tonight I think, or soon at least but still...)

"Tonight I call on the McCain campaign to stop treating Sarah Palin like she is a delicate flower that will wilt at any moment," said Brown. "This woman is from Alaska for crying out loud. She is strong. She is tough. She is confident. And you claim she is ready to be one heart beat away form the presidency. If that is the case, then end this chauvinistic treatment of her now. Allow her to show her stuff. Allow her to face down those pesky reporters... Let her have a real news conference with real questions. By treating Sarah Palin different from the other candidates in this race, you are not showing her the respect she deserves. Free Sarah Palin. Free her from the chauvinistic chain you are binding her with. Sexism in this campaign must come to an end. Sarah Palin has just as much a right to be a real candidate in this race as the men do. So let her act like one."

Bush, Blair Concede Missteps on Iraq

But Leaders Say War Was Justified

President Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair last night acknowledged a series of errors in managing the occupation of Iraq that have made the conflict more difficult and more damaging to the U.S. image abroad, even as they insisted that enough progress has been made that other nations should support the nascent Iraqi government.

In a joint news conference, Bush said he had used inappropriate tough talk -- such as saying bring 'em on in reference to insurgents -- that he said sent the wrong signal to people. He also said the biggest mistake for the United States was the Abu Ghraib prison scandal, in which guards photographed themselves sexually tormenting Iraqi prisoners, spawning revulsion worldwide. We've been paying for that for a long period of time, he said.

Blair, who visited Baghdad this week, said he and Bush should have recognized that the fall of president Saddam Hussein would not be the rise of a democratic Iraq, that it was going to be a more difficult process because you're talking about literally building the institutions of a state from scratch.

While Bush increasingly has begun to acknowledge missteps in handling the war, his comments last night -- together with Blair's -- represent his most explicit acknowledgment that the administration underestimated the difficulty of the central project of his presidency

the bit about the open microphone on McCain during the debate was brilliant!!! I laughed until I literally cried!! By the way, Michelle Obama was warm, intelligent, sincere and very much First Lady material!!!

because of Bush...no doubt......now is the time to kiss everyone's ars because that will make them like us. Let's cut money from the defense budget and just pucker up and smooch as much tail as we can so no one will pick on us because everything is Bush's fault and Obama is everyone's super hero! Obama will perform miracles by creating peace in the middle east by talking to terrorists who want to behead us. He will create a socialist US so everyone can depend on the government for everything instead of actually working and earning things for themselves. When everyone is equal and broke because of all the taxes Obama is going to institute....even though he is going to reduce taxes for 95% of Americans (yeah...just like the pork he refused to allow but signed anyway) and we can all frolick and skip around in the land of no more tears because Michelle Obama has great taste in clothes and Obama sure knows how to badmouth his own country while praising himself....but that makes the US arrogant and certainly not him. He isn't arrogant at all.
