that's what mcclain's

campaign is about -- they said so themselves.  This campaign is personality based, not issue based.

It's MC CAIN, not McClain - DUH
nm
mcClain finally sinks it

New issue of an obscure accountant's magazine with an article written by mcclain recently released. He states that he is proud of his role in deregulating the financial sector and was looking forward to deregulating health care industry.  Glub, glub, glub, down the toilet he goes.  Hoisted by his own petard.

Let's talk about McClain's desire

to deregulate the insurance industry.  He wrote an article stating that the deregulation in the financial market worked so well that he would do it to the insurance industry.  Anyone think this is a brillant idea?  He certainly can't be wrong, he was a POW.

So tired of reading you write McClain....nm

McClain showing his true colors

Does this current hissy fit McClain has thrown against New Yorks Times remind you of anyone - Cheney/Bush?  McClain is infuriated with NYT for exposing his campaign manager as a beneficiary of the Fannie Mae scandal to a tune of $30,000 a month.  He has declared "war" on the NYT and another reporting site.  He is trying to clamp down on negative information being released about him.  This is so DANGEROUS.  Do not be deceived (unless you are a True Believer) about his protestations of unfairness in reporting.  We need  the press to report these things so we can make informed decisions.  Free press, people.

This is his famous vindicative temperment at full force.  Heed the warning. He is not even elected and he is trying to clamp down on the truth.

The Ad: We've seen what Bush-McCain policies have done to our economy. Now John McCain wants to do the same to our health care. McCain just published an article praising Wall Street deregulation. Said he'd reduce oversight of the health insurance industry, too. Just "as we have done over the last decade in banking." Increasing costs and threatening coverage. A prescription for disaster. John McCain. A risk we just can't afford to take.

An article in the obscure journal Contingencies, published under McCain's name, says: "Opening up the health insurance market to more vigorous, nationwide competition, as we have done over the last decade in banking, would provide more choices of innovative products less burdened by the worst excesses of state-based regulation."

In the article, the Arizona senator certainly sounds like the strong advocate of deregulation he has always been. And the timing makes McCain sound like he is defending the loosening of federal rules on banks, now widely blamed for the Wall Street turmoil that has led President Bush to propose a $700 billion bailout of the banking and credit industries
