My dad was a union member. He had no choice. He did not, however, support strike. And no, he did not benefit from the union workers' strike because the company closed, moved to Mexico and he and all of his workers lost their jobs. gee, thanks to the union for that. I never said I don't respect your opinion. I just have a different view. You seem to think strike is a good thing. I do not. I have seen many people strike and end up no better off but having lost months of pay that can never be made up or ending up unemployed. Those unions did more harm than good. But you can bet the union officials still ended up okay - sort of like the golden parachutes going out to the big guys in FM/FM right now. they screwed everyone and didn't care because they did fine for themselves. JMHO.
