Subject: "Posotile?"

I am transcribing an surgery for ruptured anterior communicating artery aneurysm.  the Dr. describes the cortical surface as "posotile" and nondistended.  At least it sounds like posotile.  Does anyone know what this word might be?  The sentence is as follows:

CSF was drained until the cortical surface was posotile and nondistended.

PLEASE HELP!
