Procedure: Because of the patient's symptom complex, nasal endoscopy was performed. After decongestion and topical anesthesia, a nasal endoscope was used to examine both nasal cavities and nasopharynx. The following findings were noted: There are some visible vessels in "key silvox" region. There are no abnormal nasal masses. There is no drainage from the middle meatus or "sphenoid with mortal recess" bilaterally. The nasopharynx is normal.
(what is in parenthesis is what I am questioning...I am covering this doc and am not great with this terminology)Any help would be great!!! Thanks :)

Total ethmoidectomies were then performed in the usual fashion beginning in the bulla ethmoidalis and working back toward the face of the sphenoid. The dissection then turned up along the bone of the ethmoids back towards the argronave sound frontal recess
