Subject: "torsed" to torsive?

Talking about torsion of a Meckel's diverticulum.  Through the report he keeps saying "torsed" as in a portion of the ileum was torsed and necrotic, and torsed necrotic tissue.  I changed it to torsive because I found that, could not find "torsed".  Am I just missing a spelling of torsed, because he says it several times through the report.  Thanks for any insight.
