Also, I worked in a lab for many years, and gram-negative and gram-positive are not capitalized. Gram is the name of the doctor or scientist who came up with the staining test, Gram stain, so that is capped.

I have an orthopedic surgeon who notes a "bare wall" in the knee when doing an arthroscopy to indicate the "bare wall" where the ligament should be attached but is no longer attached because of a tear. Hope this helps.
