What is the ESL doctor's primary language?  That matters when trying to evaluate what you heard him try to say in English.   Try to speed him up and see what it sounds like.

a drug that sounds like Celexa- but isn't (sm)
Subject: a drug that sounds like Celexa- but isn't (sm)

In current med list, the doctor states what sounds like "Celexa 200 mg daily" Since the doc already listed Celexa 20 mg daily earlier in the list, I would guess that she's not just misreading the 20 mg into 200... But my brain is so stuck on that it sounds like Celexa (even though I know it's not) that I can't hear anything else.

If it helps any, patient has GERD, PTSD, fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel syndrome, glucose intolerance, and hypertension.

Subject: curette used to remove foreign object from ear canal

Doc is an ESL (and a pretty good speaker but the sound quality isn't the best), and he sounds like he says he's using a seeramick (spelled phonetically) to remove a BB from this child's ear.  I've searched my ENT and equipment books as well as googled and am having no luck finding this.  I thought maybe it was his way of pronouncing ceramic, but I don't even know if there is such a thing as a ceramic curette.  He's definitely not saying serrated.  Any ideas?

Subject: I always put it exactly as the doctor says it

Sometimes they say "levocurvature" instead of "levoscoliosis" because the curvature may be caused by the way the patient is positioned. The doc may be reluctant to diagnose a scoliosis on the basis of just one study.
