Help with MRI, please!

I have this MD that is always dictating what sounds like "SPUR", as in "T2 axial SPUR"...and I am absolutely sure that he is NOT saying STIR.

I can't find this anywhere in my listing of MRI protocols and QA never responds to my question about what he is really saying.

My question is....is this a real protocol?  I know MDs like to make up their own terms but usually radiologists are pretty good at sticking to the book when it comes to dictating protocols.
