They prescribed Depakote for bipolar disorder as well as for seizures.

the last one possibly meloxicam (NSAID for different types of arthritis) or mexiletine for irregular heartbeat.  Two sites I like to use are rxlist.com and http://www.drugs.com/search-wildcard-phonetic.html.  The last one lets you put in a phonetic search.

Think your idea of ballottement is a good one.  Yeah, they do digital ballottment of the spine which sounds like it's done to see if it provokes discomfort somewhere else.  Don't know much else about it though.
