Levothroid vs. Levothyroid?

Subject: Levothroid vs. Levothyroid?

Are these two the same medication?  Doc is statign Levothyroid...I can find Levothroid in my medication spell checker but not Levothyroid.  (Levothyroid comes up in a Google search, but not sure if it is spelled wrong?)  Thanks!

No such drug as levothyroid!!! This is per page 491 of the QLDB.

levothyroxine is the generic.

Levothroid® (levothyroxine sodium tablets, USP) is a synthetic product containing the hormone levothyroxine (T4). It is indicated for the treatment of hypothyroidism. Levothroid is available in 12 strengths ranging from 25 mcg through 300 mcg to allow for proper titration of thyroid function.1
Can he possibly be saying Levothroid and not Levoril?
