Psychiatry 3 Allied
Subject: Psychiatry 3 Allied

Hello,
I am going over this dictation for the umpteenth time and am wondering if anyone else that has gone through Allied, could help me out with the Psychiatry #3 assignment. In the first paragraph, "Patient is a 78-year-old female who was status post total knee replacement approximately 13 months ago. Patient had persistent pain over the medial and lateral portions of the femur in the parapatellar region with slight lateral patellar tracking. Patient had failed considering treatment. She opted for surgical intervention."
I am pretty positive that the sentence, "Patient had failed considering treatment." is incorrect as it does not relate to the rest of the dictation. Yet, I can not seem to figure out what the dr said. Any help would be so appreciated! Thank you!

Subject: short s/l blust exam.....psychiatry...

I have come across this twice now and still can't seem to figure out this term. Sentence reads, "Short s/l blust exam showed the patient’s total score of 10 noting again the patient gave the wrong month." This is part of mental status exam section regarding screening questions. I am wondering if this could be -- Bankson Language Screening Test (BLST)? I would love to know the answer to this. TIA.

Subject: surgical history s/l all-tee

Patient is being seen for balance problems. There is a lot of focus in the report on various tests and her previous tethered cord, lumbar stenosis, laminectomy, etc.

Past surgical history includes: "repair of a spinal fluid leak and (s/l all-tee) then the lumbar spine fusion."

Any ideas as to what the all-tee might be? At first I thought it was the doctor stumbling over her words, but upon re-listening, I'm not so sure!
