Radiologist is saying what sounds like "Fluid is seen within the s/l entercies of the mesentery." The other word in the same report is: "High density within the dependent portion of the stomach surrounded by contrast measuring 36 Hounsfield units could reflect s/l embezel (2nd e with long e sound), blood products, or food particles."

under the HEENT would there be such a word as "atheromegaly"?  She said, HEENT:  Normocephalic.  NECK:  Without lymphadenopathy or "atheromegaly."

Also do you know what kind of cream would be used on dry, scaly, reddened skin....sounds like Trifentalil or Trifentanyl.  I have found fentanyl, but nothing with the TRI on the front of it...used with hydrocortisone.

Sounds like you're Q/Aing my report I sent in today! Those were the words I couldn't make out!

is it okay to put many blanks throughout the document if I'm not exactly sure what he is saying and some things he says make absolutely no sense? (sometimes 2 per paragraph in places) Is it okay to put a blank so he checks that word to make sure its right? these are 9 page long psych reports. It's not cut and dried medical terms and phrases. I'm thinking I should put blanks just to make sure it's right instead of typing what i think he is saying. what do you do
?

I agree with the other post.  I have leaving blanks, but sometimes you have to.  You absolute cannot guess at something.  It is better to leave a blank than to guess, otherwise it is a bad reflection on you as an transcriptionist to try to guess and then have it be wrong.

Hi, I'm a semi-new transcriptionist who has had no formal training, and I'm having some problems figuring out a couple spellings.  One is a medication called *Inderon* (not sure how to spell).  The other is a phrase that I'm not sure what exactly the doctor is saying.  It sounds like *bill-raw-2 anastomoses*  Thanks SO much for any help!!!

This doctor is slurring bad so I don't even know if my examples will be accurate!! It sounds like she hasn't gone to med school OR general english and doesn't know how to pronounce words. Ugh.

- Glypenitin? Some kind of medication. Don't know what it is for as this patient has many diseases.
- Sounds like "see-ko" syndrome... I think. I can't understand her!! Fecal syndrome? LOL Maybe it's sickle syndrome.. I don't know.
- Sounds like "smith". As in positive ANA, positive SSA and SSB (I can't tell if it's SSA and SSB or just one or the other GRR!!!!), positive RNP, positive __________, positive rheumatoid factor.

I'm going to try to finish this report. Wish me luck. :/

For the fun of it!! Hydroclomibmwlap... I don't expect anyone to look THAT up. ;) That one deserves a big fat blank. Yes, that is the exact way she pronounced it.

Enavaprovolil was actually Enalapril. How horrible is that? LOL javascript:editor_insertHTML('text','');

Also, if anyone has a 2x4 so I can go beat this doctor senseless, I'd appreciate it. ;)
