Nothing comes to mind for the memory portion, but the foam is more than likely "from" edema, don't you think.
my first thought is offloading foam but not sure if that is right
Subject: my first thought is offloading foam but not sure if that is right

don't usually apply a foam such a a moisturizing foam or something that soaks into the skin. If they told the patient to change positions a lot or put extremities up, I would be more inclined to think it is offloading foam to take the pressure off the area of the ulceration.

The patient has a 2-week history of a "falen" on her right thumb tip. It was decompressed in the ER and she subsequently went on to have an MRI.

Anybody hear of this before?

Rule of thumb for followup/follow up

A good rule of thumb I was taught in training for followup/follow up is if you can put "a" or "the" in front of followup, it is the noun form; otherwise it is the verb form.  Ex.

...a/the followup appointment.

...a/the followup x-ray.

...will follow up.  (You can't put "a" or "the" in front of follow up, it won't work.)

Anyway, just thought I would share something that has helped me tremendously as a newbie.
