I had my bottom wisdom teeth pulled and the dentist told me that unless I had the correlating top teeth pulled as well, the top ones would "fall" or drop because they have no lower teeth to rest upon.   Hope that helps.

in the context of your sentence doesn't make a whole lotta sense.  I was originally thinking the patient lost dentures from the transfers, admissions, etc., so could not eat well, but the "sounds like" word you give is too similar to edentia.

It's a missing foot. I'm thinking it's another word for phantom pain but I haven't been able to find anything. I've listened many times and it still sounds like "tre-eye-n". Or maybe plural. Later on he says it's not vascular but may be neurologic or musculoskelatal in nature.
