In Stedman's GI book they have both listed together, with Roux-en-Y listed first; so they are both acceptable but the first is usally preferred. I guess it would depend if you are on a verbatim account.

If you changed the wording to what you thought was correct, sm
it would imply that the colostomy bag was bleeding, not blood coming from the colostomy.
