I am new mt looking where to find list of pediatric developmental screening tests?  looked in google and yahoo, couldnt find them, had to blank a report b/c could not come up  - test s/l "gypsum" - thanks for any help - cassie

Deconditioning.  Due to the patient’s disability she will be recommended for full _______ disability.  This letter has been written and faxed today.

I cannot hear what the doctor is saying, she is slurring the word.  She is not saying "status or benefits".  

Any ideas would be appreciated.

1.    Prescription for Nexium 40 mg one every day to p.a.p.

2.    Prescription for Diovan HCT 80/12.5 mg one every day to p.a.p.

3.    Simvastatin 40 mg one every day, prescription written for p.a.p.

4.    Return in two months for physical and Pap smear.

I just really can't hear what this doc is saying.  I've looked up both and both apparently exist, so is there any way to know which is more commonly used or in what situation?  Thanks.

I'm on this report and the worktype is UPPI evaluation. I think the dictator entered the wrong worktype because it is a letter, but I can't make the call without knowing what UPPI stands for. Any help?

So it's possible he could mean subacromial and subacromioclavicular decompression.

I've never heard it put quite that way - is this an op report? I normally only do radiology.

I truly don't think most orthopedists or chiropractors (both of which were my first fields 30 years ago) like zero alone when they are giving degrees of movement of a limb, i.e., 30 degrees of extension, 0 degrees of flexion, 10 degrees of abduction, and 0 degrees of adduction......I truly don't think they would want zero degrees in any part of that....just my *take*

If we were to follow the BOS2 statement about zeroes in this particular case above, I do believe the orthopedists and/or chiropractors would have a problem with that. 

Even in labs now, I DO type zero troponin for 0 troponin, but I don't think it looks very good when all other labs in same paragraph are numerical....

and let's think about urinalysis...... ..... zero red cells or 0 red cells

(they rarely do this - they will say 0-2 red cells and in that case, the zero is not standing alone and we can use 0 there but it's just more to think about.....because occasionally, if a patient has had hematuria, let's say.....the dictator might very well say:  There are zero red cells.)

If the CA is calcium, it's Ca. If the O2 is oxygen, it's O2 with the 2 as a subscript if the platform allows it.
