I found both Meyerson and Myerson signs in my Surgical Word Book
Subject: I found both Meyerson and Myerson signs in my Surgical Word Book

According to Google, they seem to both have the same definition.

Myerson's sign is a medical condition where a patient is unable to resist blinking when tapped on the glabella, the area above the nose and between the eyebrows. It is often an early symptom of Parkinson's disease.

Snout Reflex: percuss the upper lip near the midline - pursing or puckering of lips; glabellar reflex (=Meyerson's sign) - percuss on forehead in the middle above eyes: produces continued blinking with each tap. Also seen in Parkinson's. Grasp Reflex - stroke the mid-palm upward to fingers; you may warn the patient not to hold on.

Since, the doc is spelling Meyerson, I would give him that one.

Crazy huh?

they have the pleural of index as indexes or indices, so either would be right then. So index, indexes or indices are all correct choices depending on how it is said, obviously.

Surgical question.
Subject: Surgical question.

Okay here are the procedures...

1.  Repair of FDP tendon.

2.  Repair of one fascicle laceration of the ulnar digital nerve.

3.  Repair of pulley tendon.

4.  Radial digital neurolysis (indicated given the ulnar digital nerve partial laceration.)

5.  Repair of A4 pulley.

I am then hearing in the narrative summary:

The tendon was repaired with a modified Kessler suture.  This was somewhat compromised by the skiving cut angled distally with minimal tendon at the insertion for the repair.  However, adequate tissue was apparently purchased.

Purchased is the word I am questioning??

surgical question

Yep, it's purchased. Just means a good hold in the tissues.
