As you stated,
Subject: As you stated,

working in different labs, the values and specs would be different; therefore, the other poster is not wrong either. Some labs prefer it one way and others prefer it another. I have always typed it A1c personally, and in my years of experience as a transcriptionist have not had QA correct me on that yet. I just felt that you came on a little strong towards the other poster and yelling isn't really necessary. Have a nice day. :-)

Unless it is stated 3 mm you cannot assume that it is mm
Subject: Unless it is stated 3 mm you cannot assume that it is mm

According to a very detailed message from my QA department with authoratative references cited, unless the first measure is stated specifically, you are making an assumption that _3_ is mm and cannot assign 3-4 mm. They explained I had to use 3 x 4-mm effusion. There are many units of measure and their point was to assume is not permissible as it could be an error.

What you are saying is redundant. It's already been OvER-stated. Give it a rest.

Subject: She's not testing. She has stated before that she's

new to the field but has been doing ortho so far.  She is now doing some family practice.   We were all new once right?    If you read all the posts she even thought she could not post so often, which is not true.  You can post as many times as you like I would think.  I don't remember reading any rules stating you cannot.   I think they just like you to try to stick to the appropriate subject boards accordingly.   I only try to post answers to word help questions if I'm pretty sure.  If I'm not sure then I usually don't reply with anything at all.   I had to put my 2 cents in here though being another MT who does have a lot of experience but likes to learn from others as well.

I am not on a verbatim account and I do expand those types of abbreviations, but I would be interested in hearing others' opinions as well.

By the way, why are you "dubious"? Just curious!

Subject: Has anyone ever heard of a med that

this is just in the med list, no real history on the patient.  I've tried all of my resources, but I cannot seem to come up with anything.  Sounds like the same way a doc would dictate Combivent, but it is not that.  I wonder if someone has a link for looking up drugs by the dosage???  long shot, but trying here...  Thanks in advance.
